Housecleaning with a toddler

25Oct08

I am trying to tidy my house this morning.  I was aware that the toddler was trying to feed the dog–I had seen him take the empty dry-dog-food scoop and pretend to be pouring food in the bowl.

I just realized that he has progressed to squirreling a handful of dry dog food out of the box, looking for the dog around the house, and depositing the food in front of the dog’s mouth, wherever she happens to be sitting.  The dog moves around a lot, and she isn’t that fond of her dry food.  So, there are a bunch of tiny little dog food piles all over the house now.

Sometimes I consider giving up housecleaning until the kids are both in school.
